Stanley J. Danowski, 63, of Uniontown, died Wednesday, May 30, 2007, at home with his loving family at his side. He was born on Sept. 8, 1943, in Uniontown, son of Stanley A. and Eleanor (Phillips) Danowski, who preceded him in death. Stanley was a conductor with CSX Railroad, and served with the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the American Legion Post 51. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends and his loving pets "Dinky" and "Toby." Left to cherish his memory is wife Janet R. (Vilsack); children, Wendy Garden (and Rick), of Lemont Furnace, Charles Works (and Rita), of Masontown, and Lisa Works (and Len), of Connellsville; granddaughters, Jamie Hoff (and Thomas, "T.J."), Michelle Misiak (and Justin); great-grandsons, Mason and Parker Hoff; sisters, Lorraine Merkosky (and Michael), of Oliver, and Antoinette "Toni" Fagioletti (and Dr. Robert F.), of McMurray; and a niece, Chrissy. Friends will be received in the STEPHEN R. HAKY FUNERAL HOME INC., 603 N. Gallatin Ave. Ext., Uniontown, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday and from 12 noon until 1 p.m. Saturday, when a blessing service will be held. Interment will follow at Sylvan Heights Cemetery.
