Marian E. McGarrity, 81, of Brackenridge, died unexpectedly Wednesday, June 27, 2007, in the Alle-Kiski Medical Center, Allegheny Valley Hospital, Natrona Heights, where she had been a patient for one day. She was born Aug. 20, 1925, in Blairsville, to the late William and Minnie Erb Rosborough.
She was a homemaker and retired in 1990 from West Penn Manufacturing, Brackenridge, after 32 years. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Brackenridge, and a graduate of Blairsville High School. She enjoyed spending time with her family and was an animal lover.
She is survived by her husband of 40 years, James E. McGarrity, Brackenridge; sons, Paul A. Wyble Jr., Tarentum, Harry A. Wyble, Arnold, and Larry W. Wyble, Penn Hills; a daughter, Sandra L. Wyble Charity, El Paso, Texas; seven grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; a stepson, Jerry Lee McGarrity, Euclid, Calif.; stepdaughters, Marla Buffone and husband Rocco, Greensburg, and Ann M. Buterbaugh and husband Donald, Lower Burrell; 11 stepgrandchildren; eight stepgreat-grandchildren; two stepgreat-great-grandchildren; a brother, Odis Rosborough, Irwin; and a sister, Mildred Murray, Blairsville.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Arthur Rosborough; and three sisters, Elsie Crookshank, Florence Beatty and Dorothy Muir.
Relatives and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today in the Duster Funeral Home Inc., 10th Avenue at Corbet Street, Tarentum, where services will be conducted 11 a.m. Saturday with the Rev. Alice Weaver Dunn, her pastor, officiating.
Interment will be in Mt. Airy Cemetery, Natrona Heights.
