Zaboski , Richard J. 68


Richard J. "Stringer" Zaboski, 68, of Tarentum, died Monday, July 9, 2007, at his home, unexpectedly. He was born Nov. 27, 1938, in Tarentum, a son of the late Steve and Mary (Niski) Zaboski, and had lived his entire life in Tarentum. He was a laborer and had worked at Pullman Standard in Butler for 20 years. He had also worked at St. Vincent DePaul in Tarentum. He was a member of Abundant Joy Fellowship Church in Tarentum. He was a social member of the Brackenridge American Legion, the Tarentum VFW and Pioneer Hose, Brackenridge. He was an avid bingo player and enjoyed biking, fishing and walking. Survivors include his daughter, Yvonne E. Zaboski; son, Scott A. Zaboski; granddaughter, Jessica M. Crawford; his former wife, Penelope A. Sterling, all of Tarentum, and brothers, Raymond and Daniel Zaboski. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Chester, Steve and Leonard Zaboski, and five sisters, Carol Troyak, Helen Zaboski, Jenny Laurence, Kate Tobin and Fran Nolan. There will be no public visitation. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in Abundant Joy Fellowship Church, First and Allegheny streets, Tarentum, with Pastor Greg Blythe and Pastor Bob Caridi co-officiating.
