Louis (Mocco) Maczka, 83, formerly of Norvelt, died Friday, June 2, 2006. Born Sept. 1, 1922, in United, he was a son of the late John and Frances Zychowski Maczka. He was a member of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church of Calumet. A World War II veteran, he served in the U.S. Army. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Stanley and Frank Maczka; a brother-in-law, Fred L. Stefl Sr.; and a nephew, John E. Stefl Sr. He is survived by his sister, Mary Maczka Stefl, and a sister-in-law, Leona Maczka, both of Norvelt; and the following nephews and nieces: Fred Stefl Jr., of Norvelt, Marilyn Stefl Cycak and her husband, Paul, and their son, Mike, of Greensburg, Charlene Stefl and children, John Jr. and Tracy, of Mt. Pleasant, Rick Biller and family, of Florida, Stanley Maczka, of Norvelt, Francis Maczka and his wife, April, of Mt. Pleasant RD, Ronald Maczka and son, Ronald Jr., of Norvelt, and Bob Maczka, of Mt. Pleasant RD. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday in St. Stanislaus Catholic Church with the Rev. Nicholas Trongo as celebrant.
