Jefferson Hills

James E. "Tinny" Trasp, 49, of Jefferson Hills, died Friday, July 25, 2008, in Jefferson Regional Medical Center. He was born Sept. 25, 1958, in Monongahela to William J. Trasp, of Jefferson Hills, and the late Loretta F. Welsh Trasp and was an operating technician at U.S. Steel's Clairton Works. Mr. Trasp was a peacetime Navy veteran and a former member of the Elrama Volunteer Fire Company and the Elrama Sportsmans Club. Also surviving are his wife of 23 years, Toni M. (Culley) Trasp; daughter, Sara Trasp, at home; son, Sean Trasp, of Enola; sister, Bonnie Popp, of North Huntingdon; brothers, Yogi Trasp, of Espyville, and Tom Trasp, of West Elizabeth, and nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Visitation from 1 until an 8 p.m. service Tuesday in the PAUL E. BEKAVAC FUNERAL HOME, 221 Second St., Elizabeth Borough. The Rev. Thomas D. Carr will officiate.
