Ronald Mark McKnight, 74, of Arnold, died Saturday, Oct. 24, 2009, in Alle-Kiski Medical Center, Allegheny Valley Hospital, Natrona Heights. He was born Dec. 9, 1934, in Rochester, a son of the late Harold and Ida (Malfalner) McKnight. He lived for the past 21 years in Arnold, living prior to that in Tarpon Springs, Fla. He was retired with the Air Force after 21 years of service, serving in the Vietnam era. He was also employed by Stauffer Chemical Co. in Florida for a number of years. He was of the Baptist faith and a graduate of Rochester High School. Mr. McKnight enjoyed his work. Survivors include his wife of 25 years, Doris Val Jean (Fike) McKnight; daughters, Donna (Louis) Tedesco, of Penn Hills, Shelia (Mike) Milword, of Idaho, Tam McKnight Atwater, of California, and Cindy (Leroy) Coberley, of Merced, Calif.; sons, Ronald M. (Lisa) McKnight Jr., of Florida, Brian (Sam) McKnight, of Idaho, and Scott McKnight, of Merced, Calif.; brothers, Raymond McKnight, of Beaver, Stuart McKnight, of Tennessee, and Gail (Joan) McKnight, of Beaver; and sisters, Lillian Corbin, of Beaver, and Janet (Ted) Yokoyama, of Largo, Fla. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his three brothers, Keith, Richard and Donald McKnight. Relatives and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in the DUSTER FUNERAL HOME INC., Tenth avenue at Corbet street, Tarentum, where services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday by the Rev. Robert B. Walker, pastor of First Baptist Church, Tarentum. Entombment will be in Greenwood Memorial Park Mausoleum, Lower Burrell, with military honors by Tarentum VFW Post 5758.
