Matthew Crimbly, 70, of Greensburg, died Wednesday, Dec. 1, 2010, in UPMC Northwest, Seneca, Pa. He was born Aug. 20, 1940, in South Greensburg, a son of the late Vincent and Rose (Matt) Crimbly. Prior to his retirement, he had been employed by Westinghouse, Waltz Mills. He was a graduate of Greensburg High School. Matt enlisted in the Navy on May 21, 1960, and served aboard the USS Sullivan DD 537 during the Cuban Missile Crisis. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Amber Marie Crimbly. He is survived by his wife, Clara A. "Sue" Rauscher Crimbly; a daughter, Stacey Hempfield and her husband, Duane, of Daytona, Fla.; a son, Matthew Crimbly, at home; two grandchildren, Noah and Ian Hempfield, of Daytona, Fla.; two sisters, Virginia Bushyager and her husband, Joe, of Kansas Cit, Mo., and Rosemarie Foschia, of Greensburg; a brother, Vincent Crimbly and his wife, Mary Lou, of North Huntingdon; nephews, Joe and Matt Foschia and his wife, Danette, and Brian Errett; and a niece, Crystal Foschia and her husband, Doug, all of Greensburg; nieces, Lori Waddle and her husband, Dave, of Florida, Kim Lineen, of Kansas City, Jeanette Campbell and her husband, Eric, of North Carolina; five great-nieces; three aunts, Dorothy Alsopiedy, of Greensburg, Gilda Dinsmore and her husband, Melvin, of Florida, and Virginia Fleming, of Ohio; and numerous cousins and friends. Friends will be received from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in the LEO M. BACHA FUNERAL HOME INC., 516 Stanton at Green streets, Greensburg. A funeral liturgy will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home with the Rev. Martin R. Bartell, OSB, officiating.
