George "Duddy" Momich, 83, of West Mifflin, died Monday, Oct. 17, 2011, in Jefferson Regional Medical Center. He was born May 13, 1928, in Weirton, W.Va., the son of the late George and Mary (Stefanic) (Momich) Kresovich. He retired as an engineer on the Union Railroad and served in the Marine Corps in World War II. He is survived by a daughter, Georgette (Gary) Dillinger, of Dravosburg; sons, Stephen G. Momich, of South Park, and George A. (Laura) Momich, of West Mifflin; sisters, Diana Kresovich, of Dravosburg, and Ceb (Dan) Giger, of White Oak; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews; best friends, Frank and Linda Archer, of West Mifflin; and his constant companion, his dog, Heidi. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 55 years, Madelyn Yauch Momich, who died June 23, 2006; and son, Mark Momich, who died Sept. 5, 1993. There is no visitation. Graveside service with military honors will be held at noon Saturday, Oct. 29, 2011, in the Jefferson Memorial Park, Pleasant Hills. Pastor Jack Kelly will be officiating. Please meet in the Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home parking lot at 11:45 a.m. Burial will follow. Arrangements are by the GILBERT FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY INC., 6028 Smithfield St., Boston, Elizabeth Township.
