Ford City

Margaret Boback, 94, a lifelong resident of Ford City, died Thursday, March 29, 2012, at Sugar Creek Rest. She was born Dec. 11, 1917, in Ford City, a daughter of the late Frank and Helen Turko. She was the wife of Joseph Boback who died May 5, 1986. She was a member of St. Marys Ukrainian Church. She loved gardening, baking and taking care of her home and her sons. Survivors include her sons, Mark Boback, of Ford City, Paul Boback, of Silver Springs, Md., and Joseph and Kathleen Boback, of Natrona Heights; a grandson, Paul Boback; a brother, Steve "Skip" Turko, of Orlando, Fla.; sister, Ann Bielski, of Ford City, and Virginia "Jean" and Edward Vojna, of Ford City; also survived by 19 nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, John, Metro, Nick, Charles and Michael; and sister, Mary Trop. Visitation from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the MANTINI FUNERAL HOME INC., Ford City, where Parastas service will be held at 7 p.m. Friday. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with Father John Gribik. Interment will be at St. Marys Ukrainian Cemetery.
