Mary F. Stefl Norvelt Mary F. Stefl, 92, of Norvelt, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 28, 2012, in Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital. Born July 11, 1920, in United, she was a daughter of the late John and Frances (Zychowski) Maczka. She was a member of St. Florian Catholic Church, United, and a lifetime active member of St. Stanislaus, Calumet, where she had been baptized. Mary was a member of the AMVETS Post No. 94 Ladies Auxiliary, United. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frederick L. Stefl, on Nov. 26, 1986; son, John Stefl, on Jan. 19, 2006; and three brothers, Stanley, her twin, Frank, and Louis. She was the last surviving member of her family. Mary is survived by a son, Fred Stefl, of Norvelt, Marilyn Cycak and her husband, Paul, of Greensburg; daughter-in-law, Charlene Stefl, of Mt. Pleasant; three grandchildren, Michael Cycak, John Stefl Jr. and Tracy Stefl; a great-grandchild, Kaitlyn Cycak; sister-in-law, Leona Maczka; and her sons Rick, Stanley, Francis, Ronald and Robert. Family and friends will be received 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in the JAY A. HOFFER FUNERAL HOME, 2245 Mt. Pleasant Road, Norvelt, PA 15674. Blessing service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, followed by her Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in St. Florian Catholic Church with the Rev. Joseph L. Sredzinski as celebrant. Interment to follow in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
