Nicholas John Pici, 79, of McKeesport, passed away Monday, Sept. 24, 2012, in his home. Born April 2, 1933, in Braddock, he was a son of the late John and Angeline (Cuoco) Pici. Nick graduated from Westinghouse High School in Wilmerding and was a Navy veteran of the Korean War. He retired as a salesman from McKeesport Chrysler-Plymouth and was a parishioner of St. Patrick's Church in Christy Park. Nick also served as a lector, usher and Eucharistic Minister for the former Sacred Heart Parish in McKeesport, was a member of the Knights of Columbus and was an avid Pittsburgh sports fan. He is survived by his devoted wife, Carolyn (Knox) Pici; his six sons, Ricky, Nick (Marian), Michael (Sharon), John, Daniel (Courtney) and Brian (Angie) Pici; his two daughters, Angeline and Keri Pici; his 12 grandchildren, Jamie, Mary, Natalie, Dakota, Dylan, Max, Nico, Gianna, Nathan, Nina, Danielle and Sydney; his sisters, Jean Azzaro, Joanne Kelly and Molly Farina; nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Nick was preceded in death by his siblings, Helen Bruno and Alex, Michael and Ralph Pici. Friends will be received from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday in the DANIEL F. BEKAVAC FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 4504 Walnut St., Versailles, PA 15132, 412-678-3454. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday in St. Patrick's Church with Father Matthew Elanjalith officiating.
