Jeanne L. (Salyers) Freshwater, 63, of Tarentum, passed away Friday, Oct. 19, 2012, in Allegheny Valley Hospital, Natrona Heights. She was born Oct. 31, 1948, in Harrison Township, a daughter of Sophia (Olczak) Salyers, who resides in Cheswick, and the late Purl Salyers. Jeanne had lived in the Tarentum area since 1972. She was a homemaker and a member of Holy Martyrs Church, Tarentum. A 1966 graduate of Divine Providence Academy, she also attended college for two years. She enjoyed her family, children and grandchildren. Jeanne is survived by her sons, Jon D. Yingling, of Las Vegas, Nev., and Jason T. (Melissa) Yingling, of Tarentum; two granddaughters, Brooke Ashley and Emma Grace Yingling; a brother, Thomas (Tashia) Salyers, of Long Beach, Calif.; and two sisters, Susan (James) Dorcy, of Eagan, Minn., and Louise Salyers, of New Kensington. Besides her father, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harry L. Freshwater, on July 26, 2011. Relatives and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Oct. 22, 2012, in the DUSTER FUNERAL HOME INC., Tenth Avenue at Corbet Street, Tarentum, 724-224-1526. A blessing service will be held at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 23, in the funeral home, followed by a Christian Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in Holy Martyrs Church, Tarentum, by the Rev. Aaron J. Kriss.
