Dennis Albert Downard, 74, of Arnold, died Saturday, Nov. 3, 2012, in Allegheny Valley Hospital, Natrona Heights. He was born Aug. 27, 1938, in Creighton, to the late Vincent and Anna Sutorka Downard and had been a life resident of the local area. A cabinet maker, he retired from J and J Wood Products after 37 years of employment. Dennis enjoyed fishing, football, family and family pets and was a loyal member of the Steeler Nation. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Virginia M. Marsh Downard; children, Jeffrey Downard, Patricia Reed, Dennis E. and Kayme Downard, all of Arnold; grandchildren, Michael "Mike," Alan, Chauncy and Jeremy Reed, Justin Downard and Conrad Danvers; brother, Vincent (Joan) Downard, of Arnold; and sister-in-law, Dolly Downard, of Arnold. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Louis Downard. No services are planned.
