Gloria M. Ortman, 75, of New Kensington, died Saturday, Jan. 12, 2013, at Seneca Place, Penn Hills, surrounded by her loving family. She was born July 10, 1937, in New Kensington, daughter of the late Angelo and Ruth (Paulice) Linza. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Hilda Day. She was a member of Mt. St. Peter Roman Catholic Church, New Kensington. She was a hairdresser, and also worked as a laundry aide at Belair Nursing Home, Lower Burrell. She was a life member of the Arnold No. 2 Ladies Auxiliary. She was a volunteer for Concordia Tela Health Services. She enjoyed cooking, baking, bingo, traveling and spending time with family and grandchildren. Survivors include her son, Bruce Ortman, of Lower Burrell; daughter, Sharon (Jeff) Brown, of New Kensington; three grandchildren, Ashlee (Jon) Nevi, of Greensburg, Karissa Brown and Erik Brown, of New Kensington; one great-grandson, Giovanni Nevi; three brothers, Dominic Linza, of Lower Burrell, Alfred Linza, of New Kensington, and Eugene (Ginger) Linza, of Lower Burrell; and many nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the GIUNTA-BERTUCCI FUNERAL HOME INC., JohnPaul Bertucci, Supervisor, 1509 5th Ave., Arnold. Prayers of transfer will take place at noon Tuesday in the funeral home followed by a funeral Mass at 12:30 p.m. at Mt. St. Peter Roman Catholic Church. The Arnold No. 2 Ladies Auxiliary will hold a service for a life member at 7 p.m. Monday in the funeral home, immediately followed by the Anrold No. 1 Firemen who will hold a service for the mother of a life member at 7:15 p.m. Burial will be in Greenwood Memorial Park, Lower Burrell.
