Patrick A. "Pat" Nader, 25, of West Newton, died Thursday, Feb. 7, 2013. He was born April 1, 1987, in Greensburg, a son of Joseph and Jacqueline (Carson) Nader, of West Newton. A trained EMT, Pat was always concerned with helping others. A few years ago while responding to an emergency, he was involved in an accident that left him almost entirely paralyzed. He was a lieutenant with the West Newton Volunteer Fire Company and was also associated with the Turkeytown Volunteer Fire Company. Over the years, Pat enjoyed paintball. Before his accident, he was employed as a line locator by Heath Consultants and also as a security guard by US Security Associates. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his brother, Joseph A. Nader; a niece, McCartney; paternal grandparents, Joe and Nancy Nader; a number of aunts, uncles and cousins and his faithful dog, Jaime (Hime). He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Ernest and Aldora Carson; and a special great-aunt, Edna Nader. Friends were received at the J. WILLIAM McCAULEY JR. FUNERAL HOME INC., 901 Vine St., West Newton, where services were held with the Rev. Elizabeth A. Dunlap officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Church of God, 157 N. Second St., West Newton, PA 15089 or the Western Pa. Humane Society, 1680 Fallen Timber Road, Elizabeth, PA 15037.
