Mary Jane Hisker, 88, of Greensburg, died Sunday, Feb. 17, 2013, at home. She was born March 17, 1924, in Southwest Greensburg, a daughter of the late Frank and Sadie (Rosky) Newhouse. Prior to her retirement, she had been a baker for St. Paul Elementary School and later Central Catholic High School. She was a member of St. Paul Parish, Greensburg, the Rosary Altar Society of the church and various other church organizations. She also had been a college mother at Seton Hill University. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William J. Hisker, in 1959; a grandson, William Hisker; a brother, Charles Newhouse; and her twin sister, Dolly Plemmons. She is survived by four sons, Deacon William J. Hisker and his wife, Vera, of Greensburg, Edward Hisker and his wife, Ellen, of Kecksburg, Michael Hisker and his wife, Frieda, of South Carolina, and Thomas Hisker and his wife, Carleen, of Greensburg; two daughters, Geri Ingegno and her husband, Thomas, of Long Island, N.Y., and Mariann Mason and her husband, Bob, of Scottdale; 16 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; a sister, Elizabeth Repasky, of Greensburg; and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in the LEO M. BAHCA FUNERAL HOME INC., 516 Stanton at Green streets, Greensburg. Prayers at 9:30 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home, followed by a funeral Mass to be celebrated at 10 a.m. in St. Paul Parish, Greensburg, with the Rev. Thomas A. Federline as celebrant. Private interment in Greensburg Catholic Cemetery. The Rosary Altar Society will pray the Rosary at 3 p.m. Friday in the funeral home.
