Pauline M. Rizzardo, 89, of Cadogan, died Tuesday, March 26, 2013, in the Armstrong County Health Center, Kittanning. She was born Oct. 19, 1923, in South Buffalo Township, a daughter of the late Phillip and Anna (Vargo) Markilinski. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Rizzardo was an active parishioner of St. Lawrence Roman Catholic Church, Cadogan, where she was a member of the Altar Society, helped with cooking for funeral dinners and participated in many other church activities. Pauline formerly sang and played guitar for a local country band. She enjoyed cooking for her family and doing crafts. She is survived by her children, Frank (Carol) Rizzardo, of Enola, William (Monique) Rizzardo, of Cadogan, Sam (Carol) Rizzardo, of Homestead, Robert (Brenda) Rizzardo, of Cadogan, and Shari (Chris) Fuller, of Kittanning; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; her brothers, Francis (Betty) Markilinski, of Florida, John Markilinski, of South Buffalo Townsihp, and George (Pat) Markilinski, of Ford City; and a sister, Theresa (Norman) Goldinger, of South Buffalo Township. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank J. Rizzardo Sr.; a son, Ernest Rizzardo; and a brother, Joseph Markilinski. Friends will be welcomed from 2 to 4 and from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday, March 30, 2013, in the WELCH FUNERAL HOME, 1032 4TH Ave., Ford City. Prayers of transfer will be recited at 9:30 a.m. Monday, April 1, 2013, in the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Lawrence Roman Catholic Church, Cadogan, with her pastor, Father Bryan Summers, as celebrant.
