Thompson , Judith K. 64

Kissimmee, Formerly of Ford City

Judith Kay "Judy" Thompson, 64, of Kissimmee, Fla., formerly of Ford City, entered her heavenly mansion with her Holy Father and Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday, April 6, 2013. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, daughter, sister and also a friend to many. Her primary purpose in life was to praise and honor her Lord Jesus Christ by singing for His glory and serving others. Through modern technology, Judy will be singing at her own funeral. Born Jan. 6, 1949, in Grant Town, W.Va., she was a daughter of Kathryn Cain, Industry, and the late Junior E. Cain. A singer of Gospel music and singer at weddings, funerals and parties, she was also a video photographer. Judy made a professional album at Jeeree Records New Brighton. Final production was completed by National Record and Tape Company, Nashville, Tenn. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Kissimmee, and a member of the Christian Women’s Club in Western Pennsylvania. She was a member of Psy Chi, International Honor Society for Psychology. Even though Judy never finished her high school diploma, she was given a GED by the State of Pennsylvania Department of Education. She did not have to take a test for that because she had more than 30 hours credit in college as a non-degree candidate with a perfect 4.0 GPA (First, in a class of more than 2,000 students at the University). With the GED, Indiana University of Pennsylvania accepted her as a degree candidate; she completed 96 hours credit before she stopped studying due to increasing health problems. Her high school Board of Directors (Western Beaver, Industry) also gave her an honorary high school diploma in 2006 at the 40th year class reunion. Surviving is her husband, Richard P. Thompson; mother, Kathryn; daughter, Kathryn J. (Mark) Dimeglio, of Ford City; sons, Richard P. (Angel) Thompson Jr., Zachary A.C. Thompson, both of Kissimmee, Fla., Gregory F. (Meganne) Thompson and Christopher S. Thompson, both of Butler; sisters, Sandra F. (Kevin) Chaffee, of Midland, Pam G. Cain, of Industry, Joyce R. (Kevin) Siegwarth, of New Brighton; a niece, Rae Barlow; 15 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Cremation services were conducted by the NOLL FUNERAL HOME INC., 333 Third St., Beaver, following a funeral service Saturday, April 20, 2013. An informal memorial service will be held Saturday April 27, 2013, at HARVEST COMMUNITY CHURCH, Kittanning, officiated by Rev. Michael Greiner. Online condolences may be shared at
