Albert F. Andres, 56, of West Mifflin, died Thursday, April 18, 2013, in Jefferson Regional Medical Center. Born Oct. 8, 1956, in McKeesport, he was a son of the late Albert F. Sr. and Miriam E. "Dude" (Schorr) Andres. He was a store room manager at Epic Metals in Braddock. A member of Christ the Light of the World Parish, he enjoyed antique cars, restoring furniture, and his beloved pet dog, "Niko." He also was an avid Steelers fan. Albert was the beloved husband of 34 years to Deborah (Hampson) Andres; father of Denise (John Jr.) Chavis, of West Mifflin; grandfather of Jeffrey Chavis; brother of Glenn (Cheryl) Andres, of West Mifflin, Judy (John Loughner) Ahern, of West Mifflin, Janet (Steve) DelCorso, of McMurray, and Nancy (the late Joseph Rogozinski) (Chris Hendy) Andres, of Brookline; and brother-in-law of Joanne (Paul) Trout, of Sparta, Wis., Judy (Dave) Bich, of Anchorage, Alaska, Donna (the late Glenn) Herr, of Clementon, N.J., Thomas Hampson, of Pittsburgh, John (Gloria) Hampson, of West Mifflin, and Michelle (Bob) Egan, of Mercer. Also surviving are numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. Saturday and from noon to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at MALOY-SCHLEIFER FUNERAL HOME INC., 915 Kennedy Ave., Duquesne, 412-466-3300, William B. Schleifer, supervisor, and William Brian Schleifer, funeral director, where a blessing service will be held at 9 a.m. Monday, April 22, 2013. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 9:30 a.m. at Holy Name Church, Duquesne, with the Rev. Dennis Colamarino officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Christ the Light of the World Parish, 32 S. First St., Duquesne, PA 15110, or to the American Cancer Society.
