Jerry F. Nunamaker, 70, of Geary Drive, Connellsville, died Friday, Aug. 30, 2013, in UPMC Presbyterian, Oakland. He was born Jan. 29, 1943, in Mt. Pleasant, a son of the late Daniel and Florence Falvoletti Nunamaker. Jerry was a member of the United Presbyterian Church, Mt. Pleasant. He was an Army veteran, having served during the Vietnam War. Jerry was a member of American Legion Post 240, PAK in Everson and Elks. He loved to hunt, golf and enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Memories of Jerry will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. Jerry is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 45 years, Sharon R. (King) Nunamaker; his two children, Ranelle (Nunamaker) Wisilosky and husband, Charles "Boo," and Jeremy Nunamaker and fiancee, Kristi Koshara; two grandchildren, Kody and Kylee Wisilosky, whom he loved dearly; a brother, Richard Franks and wife, Cindy, of Scottdale; sisters, Patricia (Nunamaker) Zelmore and husband, Arnold, of Mt. Pleasant, Mary (Nunamaker) Will and husband, Herbert, of Ligonier, Bonnie (Nunamaker) Wadsworth and husband, Dennis, of Milan, Ohio, and Cindy (Nunamaker) and husband, Michael of Ohio; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Jerry was predeceased by a brother, Junior Nunamaker; and two sisters, Evelyn Miller and Helen Swogger. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in the VITO C. MARTUCCI FUNERAL HOME, 123 S. First St., West Side, Connellsville, 724-628-9033, and until 11 a.m. Wednesday, the hour of service, with the Rev. Roy Butt officiating. Interment will follow in Cochran Cemetery. A ritual will be held at 8 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home by members of the Southmoreland Veterans Commission.
