Gigliotti , Ronald L. 56


Ronald Louis Gigliotti, 56, of Latrobe, passed away Friday, Sept. 6, 2013, at Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh. He was born Nov. 1, 1956, in Pittsburgh, a son of Angela H. (Falco) Gigliotti, of Verona, and the late Ronald R. Gigliotti. Ron was a very active member of Holy Family Church, Latrobe. He was a member of its Holy Name Society and served as the state secretary of the Holy Name Society. He was a Eucharistic minister at Mass and made home communion calls for the sick and shut-ins of the parish. He taught the children's liturgy of the word at Masses and also taught CCD classes for more than 20 years. Each year he helped to coordinate the annual Good Friday fish dinner at Holy Family as well. Ron was the owner and operator of Integrated Health Systems Inc., for more than 25 years, was employed with MSAA Partners of PA, and also designed and hosted web pages. He was also a volunteer with the SCORE program at St. Vincent College. A veteran of the Vietnam era, he served as a dog handler with the Air Force and was a member of the American Legion Post No. 515, Latrobe. Ron also gave the gift of life as an organ, tissue and eye donor through the Center for Organ Recovery and Education. Besides his mother, Ron is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Lisa J. (Olecki) Gigliotti, of Latrobe; one son, Kyle A. Gigliotti, of Latrobe; three daughters, Carla N. Gigliotti, Nicole C. Gigliotti and her fiance, Christopher Kline, and Julie N. Gigliotti, all of Latrobe; three brothers, Louis Gigliotti and his wife, Debbie, of Raleigh, N.C., Joseph Gigliotti and his wife, Shari, of Dallas, Texas, and Ross Gigliotti and his wife, Stacey, of Greensburg; one sister, Rhonda Fiore, of Oakmont; a niece and nephews, Gina, Anthony and Nicholas Gigliotti, all of Latrobe; and numerous other nieces and nephews. Family and friends will be received from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the JOHN J. LOPATICH FUNERAL HOME INC., 601 Weldon St., Latrobe. The Holy Name Society will recite the rosary at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home. Military services will be conducted at 9:45 a.m. Wednesday in the funeral home by the American Legion Post 515 and the VFW Post 3414. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Holy Family Church with the Very Rev. Daniel C. Mahoney, VF, as celebrant. Interment will be private.
