Gary L. Greenway, 65, of West Deer Township, passed peacefully Monday, Sept. 23, 2013, at his residence surrounded by his family. Born Dec. 6, 1947, in Pittsburgh, he was a son of the late Floyd and Helen M. (DeLucia) Greenway and lived in West Deer most of his life. Gary served his country in the Army, achieving the rank of sergeant during the Vietnam War. Gary was a member of St. Victor Roman Catholic Parish, Bairdford, and self-employed as a painter and in construction for more than 30 years. Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Cindy A. (Coddington) Greenway; his children, Melanie A. (Bradley) Yourish and Jason T. Greenway, both of West Deer, and Megan L. (Chad) Haugh, of Edinboro; grandchildren, Emily, Joshua, Anna, Jacob and Emma; and brothers, Jeffery (Sharon) Greenway and Kevin M. Greenway, both of West Deer. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Thomas R. Greenway. Family will receive friends 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday in the SIWICKI-YANICKO FUNERAL HOME, 23 McKrell Road, Russellton, West Deer Township, where parting prayers will be held 9:30 a.m. Friday. Christian funeral Mass will follow at 10 a.m. in St. Victor Roman Catholic Church, Bairdford. Burial will be in Holy Savior Cemetery, Richland Township.
