Beehner , William 81

William Beehner, 81, died peacefully Thursday, Nov. 7, 2013, in Orange City, Fla. William was born July 6, 1932, in Greensburg, to Benjamin Carl Beehner and Elizabeth Hunter. He was preceded in death by his wife, Carol Griffith; parents; sisters, Marjorie George, Trudy Baker and Kathryn Beehner; brother, Carl Beehner; and son, William. He grew up in Greensburg, was an avid Boy Scout and earned the rank of Eagle Scout at the age of 17. Bill was a master electrician and, during his five-decade career, he operated successful electrical contracting companies in Pennsylvania, Florida and North Carolina. He is survived by his brother, Paul Beehner, of Delmont; sister Jane Croushore, of Greensburg; sons, David Beehner (Peggy), of Oviedo, Fla., Douglas Beehner, of Orange City, Fla., and Christopher Beehner (Corene), of DeBary, Fla.; daughter, Linda Eustace, of Sorrento, Fla.; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. He was a member of Emmaus Lutheran Church in Orange City, Fla., where a memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, November 16, 2013. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in his memory to the West Volusia Humane Society, 800 Humane Society Road, DeLand, FL 32720.
