George W. McMillen, 88, of Saxonburg died Sunday (Sept. 8, 2002) in Sunnyview Home, Butler.
He was born May 17, 1914, in Winfield.
Mr. McMillen worked at the Butler County Mushroom Farm, retiring in 1976 after 33 years.
He was a member of Cabot United Methodist Church, Winfield.
He enjoyed woodworking, hunting and fishing.
Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Kathryn Morgan McMillen; a son, David (Beverly) McMillen of Hot Springs Village, Ark.; two daughters, Mrs. Carol (Stan) Walchesky of Cabot and Mrs. Kathy (Russel) Wellner of Saxonburg; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; four brothers, Norman McMillen of Florida, Ralph McMillen of New Castle, Paul McMillen of Butler and Jack McMillen of Cabot; and three sisters, Ruth Mikolas of Ohio and Ina Jane Campbell and Della Milton, both of Cabot.
He was preceded in death by a son, Dale McMillen; his parents, George H. and Ida Altman McMillen; and a sister, Eleanor Ferne.
Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service at 11 a.m. Wednesday at FOX FUNERAL HOME, INC., Saxonburg. Officiating will be the Rev. Dennis Swineford. Burial will be in Lakewood Memorial Park, Dorseyville. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, Butler Unit, P.O.
