Isabel Fink Hochrein, 96, of Greensburg, formerly of DuBois, died Thursday, Feb. 20, 2014, in Sebastian, Fla. She was born Nov. 17, 1917, in Salem Township, a daughter of the late Charles Henry and Minerva Keibler Fink. Isabel graduated from Greensburg High School in 1935, and attended Lock Haven College. She taught first in the Greensburg area and then as an elementary and kindergarten teacher in the DuBois Area School District. She was a member of First Evangelical Lutheran Church of Greensburg and a former member of Christ Lutheran Church of DuBois. She was a member of the Retired Teachers Association. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Edward Hochrein; a son, Michael Hochrein; four brothers, Homer, Robert, Glenn and Paul Fink; and two sisters, Sara Stoltz and Dorothy Stambaugh. She is survived by three daughters, Barbara Weber (Jerry), of Sebastian, Fla., Lynn Hochrein, of Greensburg, and Cynthia Hochrein, of Sebastian, Fla.; a daughter-in-law, Diane Hochrein, of Vero Beach, Fla.; seven grandchildren, Britton Weber, Geoff Weber (Julie), Brooke Forsyth (Eric), Michael Waite (Kimi), Jeremy Waite, Misty Pedacchio (Tyson) and Michael Hochrein; nine great-grandchildren, Landon, Tyler, Christian, Bryce, Ainsley, Nathan, Matthew, Mason and Elena; and a sister, Lois Tyler (Dick), of Depoe Bay, Ore. Family and friends will be received from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Saturday, March 1, at the BARNHART FUNERAL HOME, 505 E. Pittsburgh St., Greensburg. A funeral service will be held at 12:15 p.m. Saturday in First Evangelical Lutheran Church, 246 S. Main St., Greensburg. Interment will follow in Westmoreland County Memorial Park, Greensburg.
