King Carnahan , Anna E.


Anna E. King Carnahan, 92, of East Oakmont, Plum, died Thursday (Dec. 18, 2003) at Allegheny Valley Hospital, Natrona Heights, Harrison.

She was born June 8, 1911, in Verona.

Mrs. Carnahan was a member of Oakmont Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include a son, John B. (Marsha) Carnahan Jr. of Apollo; five daughters, Margaret "Peggy" Vernon and Betty Jane Ansell, both of Plum, Dorothy Lydick of Sarver, Mrs. Dolores (Brent) Bain of Natrona Heights and Mrs. Mary Ella (William) Walcroft of Allegheny Township; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Margaret (Edward) Gneiting of Florida.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, James S. King; her second husband, John B. Carnahan; a daughter, Shirley Long; and her parents, William and Ella Mitchell Young.

Friends and relatives may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the BURKET-TRUBY FUNERAL HOME INC., family owned and operated, 421 Allegheny Ave., Oakmont, where a service will be at 12:30 p.m. Saturday. Officiating will be the Rev. James Tinnemeyer. Private burial will follow in Verona Cemetery, Oakmont.
