John L. Hutchinson, 64, of St. Albans, W.Va., died suddenly Thursday, Dec. 8, 2005, at St. Francis Hospital, Charleston, W.Va. He was employed in the oil industry for 38 years and was terminal manager for Charleston Etowah River Terminal and a former Pennzoil salesman/terminal manager. John was a graduate of Bridgeport High School, Bridgeport, W.Va., and of Fork Union Military School. He attended St. Vincent College and Indiana University of Pennsylvania, where he played basketball. He was a member of the Muzzle Loading Rifle Association and a member and past Master of the Washington Lodge 58 AF&AM in St. Albans, W.Va. He was an outdoorsman who loved to hunt, race cars, restore antique cars and photography, having built his personal photography dark room. John is survived by his wife of 10 years, Kay; his mother, Dorothy Smith, of Logan, W.Va.; his brother, James W. Hutchinson (Susan), of Hunker; his uncle, "Spark" Hutchinson (Agnes), of Hagerstown, Md.; his aunt, Willa Ann Looney, of Pikeville, Ky.; three nephews, Jeffrey Hutchinson (Janet), of Acme, Andrew and Michael (Tracy), of Greensburg; six great-nieces and great-nephews, Haley, Alyssa, Nathan, Adam, Cameron and Rachel Hutchinson; first cousins, Missy Hutchinson, of Charleston, W.Va., and Kitty (Jeff) Kisner, of Elkview, W.Va.; a stepdaughter, Jennifer Winters and her son, Anthony, of Charleston, W.Va.; and other members of his extended family. Honoring John's wishes, he will be cremated. There was a memorial service Dec. 11, 2005, in St. Albans, W.Va. There will be a memorial service held at Island Hill Methodist Church, Forks of Cacapon, W.Va., where John's final resting place will be the mountains of his beloved family property, "the country," which was an integral part of his life.
