Anthony "Tony" Busin, 90, of Garner, N.C., formerly of Claridge, died Sunday, Nov. 10, 2013, in State Employees Credit Union Hospice House, Smithfield, N.C. He was born Nov. 5, 1923, in Ringertown, a son of the late Carlo and Catherine Borgo Busin. Prior to his retirement, he was employed for Magee/Thatcher/Jeanette Glass/Brookpark-Royalon, where he began as an industrial engineer and retired as the plant manager. He then ended his employed as plant manager for Bearing Service Company in Pittsburgh. Tony was a former Penn Township commissioner, volunteered at the former Jeannette District Memorial Hospital (SSU) and was on the board of directors at St. Francis Hospital. He was a member of St. Barbara Church in Harrison City, where he was an usher, lector, choir member and belonged to the Young at Heart. He also co-wrote with John Hulick, of Jeannette, the music and lyrics to the song, "Let's Remember Christ at Christmas." In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Yolanda (Dalletezze) Busin, in 2001; a granddaughter, Amber Busin; and a sister, Anna Dugan. He is survived by two sons, Anthony Busin Jr. and wife, Dona, of Jackson, Miss., and John B. Busin, of Pittsburgh; three daughters, Marlene DePretto and husband, John, of Garner, N.C., Pamela Gesualdi and husband, Salvatore, of Cranberry Township, and Cynthia Nicola, of Mt. Lebanon; five grandchildren, Anthony Busin III, Christopher DePretto, Gina Kennedy, Angela Aladjem and Rita Nicola; three great-grandchildren, Emerson, Bryce and Blake; and a sister, Rose Bellono, of Jeannette. Friends will be received from 10 a.m. to noon Friday in the JAMES E. LINDSAY FUNERAL HOME INC., 3343 Route 130, Harrison City. A funeral Mass will then be celebrated at 12:30 p.m. in St. Barbara Church with Father Kenneth G. Zaccagnini as celebrant. Interment will follow in St. Barbara Cemetery, Penn Township.
