When I was in 5th grade, David was my Sunday School teacher at West Zion. I don't remember any lesson he taught, but I remember the Saturdays we boys in the class spent in David's wood shop building bird houses. David's quiet, gentle demeanor and Christlike spirit spoke louder than anything he could have said. I reference him often in discipleship ands teacher training classes that I lead. May the God whom he loved and served comfort those who mourn his passing.
