Michael ALLEN Obituary

ALLEN, Michael Andrew. (Mike) On Tuesday 7th October, peacefully at home after a long illness, aged 73 years. Mike was a loved and respected husband and mate to Sharon, father and father-in- law to Jason, Kelly and Shane, and an adored pop to Holli, Chloe and Bodie and a special friend to many. As per Mike's wishes, a private family memorial service will be held. Sincere thanks to all who have sent kind messages of support, and to Hospice Tairawhiti for their compassionate care. So sad to read of Mike´s passing. He was such an amazing friend to Shane (Tank). Rest in Peace and Love Mike.

Sharon and family,
Sorry to learn that Mike has passed on.
Please accept my sincere condolences to all the family.
I was the Shell tanker driver from Napier delivering the fuel for Star Service Station.
I will never and ever forget arriving at the station and smelling my breakfast being prepared.
Toast, bacon and eggs on the grill.
Heaven knows what the customers used to think about the cooking smells coming from the tyre bay / kitchen.
Fond memories indeed of a great character I will never forget.
