Mrs. Ada Maeola Robinson Wells-Dabney, affectionately known by her siblings as “Sister,” exchanged this life for eternity on June 22, 2025, at the blessed age of 101. A pillar of strength, wisdom, and unwavering love, Ada was the third-born child in a family of thirteen, born to the late Frank and Mariah Robinson.
Throughout her long and faithful journey, Ada lived a life rooted in grace, kindness, and devotion to family. She was preceded in death by her devoted husbands, Willie Edgar Wells and William Dabney; her beloved children, Horace Wells, Charlotte Wells-Kelley, and Dr. Eunice Wells-White; her grandson, Dane Mask; and her siblings: Frank Robinson, Hank Robinson, Sally Brown, Marie Tate, Joseph Robinson, Alverta Brown, and James Robinson.
She leaves behind a legacy of love and endurance in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her. Ada is survived by her loving children: Chloris Wells-Backstrom, Brandon Wells, Violet (Anthony) Walton, and her bonus son, Daniel (Andria) Sprouse.
She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren: Robert Thomas, Anthony W. Walton, Adam K. (Jonnitta) Walton, Ashley V. Walton, Erin B. (Roderick) Hearne, and Alexandria (Jalen) Richard. Her legacy continues through seventeen precious great-grandchildren who brought her great joy and pride.
Mrs. Dabney is also remembered by her beloved siblings: Elizabeth Branch, Esther Fairley, Rebecca Leonard, Emily (Ernest) Washington, and William (Juanice) Robinson; and in-laws: Lucy Robinson, Walter Brown, and Glen Dabney.
She held dear the friendship of three special companions who stood by her through the years: Georgia Adams, Atha Brown, and Martha Cook.
A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends also remain to honor and celebrate her remarkable life. Ada's sweet spirit, gentle heart, and sharp wit touched everyone she met. She was a nurturer, a wise counselor, and the quiet strength behind generations of family.
Though her earthly journey has ended, her legacy lives on. Her memory will forever be a guiding light and source of comfort for all who loved her.
"Well done, thou good and faithful servant… enter thou into the joy of thy Lord."

To the family,
101. 101 is a blessing, so don't cry tears of sadness but tears of joy. Think of the good times and smile. May The Most God bring you peace during this time.
