Al was a great firefighter with Wayne Twp serving many years at the Bridgeport Station #7 He also shared his many talents assisting the Indiana Volunteer Firefighters Association for many years. Al was one of those who would do any thing he could to help where ever he was, and was never lost for words and always quick to say thank you to others. I only knew him via the fire service but I expect he was the same at any thing he did in life. To his wife Patty and family our prayers go out to you, he will be missed by all. He is home with his lord today and for sure visiting with all those Volunteers (and family members) who have gone before him.

I remember the winter Saturday nights watching High school basketball at your in-law's house with a cascade of family and friends in the 1960's. That was my first encounter with your loving, kind soul.

I will miss him so much. We always bickered like crazy when we were young. But became great friends as adults. My husband and I traveled with Al and Patti in RV's a couple years and I have such wonderful memories from those experiences. Al was a good man, a great husband, and a wonderful family man. I feel privileged to have called him my brother.
