Larry Green Obituary

Larry Elmer Green, 91, of Spartanburg, SC, passed away on September 16, 2025.

Born on December 3, 1933, he was the son of the late Obid and Buela Green. Larry retired from the City of Spartanburg, where he worked as a surveying engineer. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed deer and turkey hunting, fishing, and was a proud member of the U.S. Sportsman Club.

In addition to his beloved wife, Mildred Hawkins Green, Larry was preceded in death by his brother, Jerry Green of Prosperity, his sisters, Janey Baker of Spartanburg and Eva Boyter of Roebuck and granddaughter Lou Anna Green.

He is survived by his sons, Rocky Green (Beth) of Moore and Tommy Green of the home; his daughter, Tonya Murray (Bobby) of Spartanburg; grandchildren, Jason Murray (Danielle) of Holly Springs, Stephen Murray (Cassie) of Spartanburg, Kayla Green of Moore, and Grace Harris (Will) of Roebuck; great-grandchildren, Riley, Emma, and Sawyer Murray; and his brother, Jackie Green (Shelba) of Spartanburg.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, September 19, 2025, at 12:00 PM at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood Glendale Rd. Spartanburg, SC 29307
