Arthur Lawrence Ducote, a resident of Akers, LA, passed away Friday, November 29th, 2024, in Madisonville, LA at the age of 83. He was born on June 18th, 1941, in New Orleans.

He served our country in the United States Air Force and was retired from Ormet.

He is survived by his children, Randy Ducote and wife Nikki, Angie McNeil and husband David, Holly Lively, Kevin Melancon and wife Kim, Ravan Harelson and husband Jody, Camelia Melancon, Gail Millet and husband Larry, Mary Melancon, 28 grandchildren, and 46 great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Doris Ducote, his parents, Charles and Jeanette Ducote, and 2 sons Jeff and Duane Melancon.

Visitation will be Wednesday, December 4th, 2024, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Prairieville, from 11:00am until the Mass of Christian Burial at 12:30 pm in the church. Burial will follow at Hope Haven Gardens of memory in Gonzales.
