Barbara Konzer Obituary

KONZER, Barbara Jean; of Holly; born February 11, 1949, in Detroit; passed away July 4, 2025, at the age of 76. Preceded in death by her husband, Kerry Konzer, her son, Trever McGoldrick, and parents John and Thelma McGoldrick. Loving sister of Patricia Cass; sister-in-law of Kim (Eileen) Kay and Kyle (Angela) Konzer; daughter-in-law of Patsy (the late Edward) Konzer. Adored aunt of Cale (Kaila), Kati (Shawn), Chloe (Steven), Cannon (Marisa), Cason, and Jesse; great-aunt of Palmer, Kedzie, Collins, Tennyson, and Gavin, and cousin of Richard (Bonnie) Beuter, Judy (Gary) Davis, Chuck (Judy) Beuter, Mary Dibble, Mark Underwood, and Miles Underwood. Barb, her sister, and her cousins spent their childhood summers exploring the shore of Grand Lake. Known lovingly as Aunt Barbie, she cheered on her Detroit Lions through every high and heartbreak, enjoyed her Miller Lite (with a straw), and made sure we knew the turkey skin was hers. Though she avoided the camera, her presence in our lives is unforgettable—her love was always felt. She will be deeply missed, remembered by the love she showed us all, and her jam. A graveside service will be held at White Chapel Cemetery in Troy, Friday, July 11th at 11:00am. Arrangements entrusted to Lewis E. Wint & Son Funeral Home, Clarkston.   Please leave a memory or condolence on the online guestbook below

Sixty four years ago I was blessed with two additional siblings, Patti and Barbara when our families blended with the marriage of our parents, John and Ruth. The years brought love, laughter, bickering, heartbreak, get togethers at our parent’s home in Arizona, but mostly the commonality and love shared by family.
Barbara was an important part of our lives and is a significant loss to so many. May she be warmly embraced by Trever, Kerry, her mom, Thelma, our parents, and grandparents as she leaves her earthly life behind. May memories help fill the void left in our hearts.

Barbara and I were step-siblings for a portion of my young life and it’s so unfortunate that we didn’t stay in touch after our parents passed and our lives then took us in different directions.
I remember Barbara as a kind big sister, she was always so nice to me. My condolences to Patty and Trevor and all the family members and friends that knew her all those years after I lost touch.
