Betty Slaper Obituary

Betty J. Slaper, 97, passed away Friday, May 23, 2025 peacefully at home. Born in Frankfort, NY, she had been a resident of Bordentown since 1954.

Betty was a member of Christ Episcopal Church of Bordentown and the Bordentown Senior Citizens Club for many years.

Daughter of the late Earl and Bertha Brown, wife of the late Earl Slaper, she is survived by two sons: Michael Slaper of Morrisville, PA and Gerald Slaper of Hamilton, NJ, her daughter and son-in-law: Janet and Randall Steen of Bordentown, five grandchildren; Stacy Slaper-Odom (Tom) of Weaver, AL, Jennifer Slaper of Bordentown, Jamie Bakalli (Elson) of Levittown, NY, Sarah Steen (Kevin Cahuas) of Brooklyn, NY, and Matthew Steen (Nicky) of Medford, NJ, five great grandsons, five great-granddaughters, four great-great grandsons, one great-great-granddaughter and three nephews and their families.

A Requiem Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, May 31 at 11 am at Christ Church, 130 Prince Street, Bordentown, NJ. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery.
