With heavy hearts, we are saddened to announce the passing of Beverly Proletti-Alvis, who left us at the age of 61 on February 18, 2025, in Hampton, Virginia. She was born on January 21, 1964, in Modesto, California to her parents Felix Joseph Proletti Jr. and Elizabeth Susan Caldwell. Beverly had an array of jobs surrounding customer service and retired in 1999 to focus more on family. She knew she wanted to be a follower of Christ and gave her life to Him in 2012. During this time she acquired some hobbies that she enjoyed which included playing the lottery, watching her soap operas and lifetime, playing online games, reading, listening to country music, and spending time with her loyal fur baby, T-Bone.
She is preceded in death by her parents Felix Joseph Proletti Jr. and Elizabeth Susan Caldwell. Beverly is survived by her three children, Billy J. Alvis (spouse Erin N. Alvis), Steven M. Alvis, and Matthew A. Proletti (spouse Brea N. Proletti) and her brother Joe Proletti of California. She also leaves behind five beloved grandchildren (Gabriel, Makailah, Malani, Milan, and Gianna) and her beloved fur baby T-Bone and a host of other family members. She will be remembered for her infectious laughter, love for her family, and strong spirit. She was a lady of few words, but the love in her heart was infinite and pure. Beverly will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
In lieu of flowers the family asks for donations to be given to Peninsula Food Bank or Fox Hill Road Baptist Church General Fund.
A memorial service will be held at Fox Hill Road Baptist Church Saturday, March 1, 2025 at 2pm. Please wear blue, purple, or pink to the service in honor of Beverly Alvis's favorite colors.

Momma A Thank you for everything you have done for me. Thank you for being more of a mother to me than my own mother. I will never ever forget that. You loved me like I was one of your own. You will be missed and you will never be forgotten. Please say hello to my Grandma for me. Love always and forever, Your Daughter chosen by love, Erin.

When I first moved to Pine Chapel in Hampton, Beverly was the first person I met. She lived right next door to me. She was so sweet and helpful. My son and her boys were instantly friends. Beverly never switched up on me, she was always the same. I can't believe she's gone. I was just telling my son a while ago I needed to reach out and call her, but I was too late. My heart is truly broken. To the boys, please stay close, protect and help each other. Your mom was an angel. She has her wings now and she's in a better place. It's going to be hard boys but as long as you have each other, you will make it. Your mom was family to me. I will never forget her. I love y'all. I am praying for all of you. With Love, Zina Tillery & Family.
