Billy "Bill" Trafford Obituary

Billy "Bill" Ray Trafford, age 67, passed away in Linden, IN. He was born in 1958 in Waynesville, MO, to Robert L. and Rita R. Trafford before they moved to Lebanon, IN, where he attended Lebanon High School before joining the National Guard. Later, he attended Indiana University - Indianapolis, IN. 

Bill will be remembered for his compassion towards others in need. He wanted to protect and help children overcome difficult situations in their life. He will also be remembered for his beautiful singing voice, guitar skills, being an avid reader, a loyal NY Jets fan, and that he enjoyed making others laugh. He loved his family, was very encouraging to them, and proud of them. 

Most importantly, later in life, Bill was saved in the death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. He knew and spoke of the tender mercies of our Lord Jesus Christ, to forgive, redeem, and transform his heart. This transformation was obvious to Bill's family who saw a tender, gentle, joyful spirit in him.

Children of Bill are Chasity Trafford, Laura Trafford, Aaron (Valerie) Trafford, and Dakota (Monet) Trafford. Grandchildren are Xander McGlothlin, Danté McGlothlin, Micah Ray, Elijah Ray, Benaiah Trafford, and Ruth Trafford. 

Bill was preceded in death by his father, Robert Trafford and is survived by his children, grandchildren, mother, and three brothers, Robert (Donna), Terry (Nita), and Darryl.

Family and friends will gather Friday, July 18, for visitation from 11 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 1 p.m. in the Strawmyer & Drury Mortuary, 2400 N. Lebanon Street, Lebanon. Bill will be laid to rest at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lebanon. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Lebanon Little League foundation to sponsor children to be involved in sports.
