Bobby Jones Obituary

Bobby Dale Jones, 82, of Sanger, Texas, passed away on October 8, 2025, in Denton, Texas.  He was born November 5, 1942, to parents Jake D. Jones and Lorene (Blackburn) Jones in Denton, Texas.

Bobby graduated from Slidell High School and was a self-employed entrepreneur, operating his Sand and Gravel Trucking Company for over four decades.

He loved traveling to South Dakota for deer hunting trips.

In addition, Bobby was an enthusiastic reader with a particular appreciation for the works of author Louis L’Amour.

Bobby had a big heart and will be missed by many friends and family members.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Patsy; his parents; a daughter, Jennifer Jones; sister, Betty Jones; brother, J.D. Jones, and grandchild, Cooper Sparlin.

Bobby’s memory will continued to be cherished by his six children, James Jones of Sanger, Becky Jones of Arizona, Christy Sparlin of Krum, Teresa Parsons of Sadler, Sheri Reynolds of Clara, Oklahoma, James Reynolds of Sanger; eight grandchildren, Sage, Cortney, Kristen, Katy, Kassye, Denny, Jordan, Lauren; and fourteen great-grandchildren.

A visitation service for Mr. Jones will be held from 6:00 – 8:00 PM on October 17, 2025, at Coker Funeral Home in Sanger, Texas.
