To James, Kimberly and the rest of the family, Carol Jean and I graduated high school together. She was a good friend and I spent some nights with her. We had a good time together. Rest in Peace, Carol Jean

Many happy memories spending time with Aunt Carol & Uncle James, Angela & Kimberly until Jamie came along, then it was happy & loud, much louder. My Poppie would accidentally call me, Carol Jean half the time because I reminded him so much of her. He loved his Carol Jean & everybody else did, too. She loved being a wife & mothe & she was wonderful at both as well as Nanny to her grands & great grands. She began as my mother‘s dearest playmate and ended as one of her most beloved cousins. Our hearts are a little heavier, and our tears are a little closer as the gates of heaven have opened to welcome Aunt Carol. So much love to everyone..

We are very sorry to hear of cousin Carols passing. I know my mom will miss her even more as they were childhood friends and grew up together. My memories will be of visiting her and James back in pine town. Our deepest sympathyies. Michael and Josie Williams from las Vegas.

Carol Jean and I grew up together in Free Union. I share many oldies with her and Julia Ann Sutton. We were friends for a long time and then we grew up and lost touch. I am so sorry for your loss. My brother has Cancer as I speak and has been taking cancer treatments for over a year. Carol is with Jesus now and in no more pain.

Mrs. Best was an AWESOME Woman!! So grateful to have had warm conversations, produce from the garden and recipes. ♥

Carol was a special lady and will be missed by many. She and I battled cancer at the same time and we would meet at the Marion Shepard Cancer Center. She and James really enjoyed the massages offer there. ♥

James and Family, I remember Carol from riding the school bus ;whenever I saw her she always had a smile. I was sorry to hear of her passing. My thoughts and prayers are with each of you. So sorry for your loss sending prayers

I have so many fond memories of Ms Carol Jean and her family. Overnight stays with the girls, swimming in their pool, staying in their beautiful cabin, going to church with them. Learning from her at Sunday School. They have always held a special place in my heart. I know the family will miss her here, but she is being welcomed home, my good and faithful servant by Jesus.
