Delia Pereira Obituary

Delia M. Pereira, 64, of Pawtucket, passed away on Friday, June 27, 2025. Born in Sao Miguel, Azores, she was the daughter of the late Eugenio V Miranda and Maria Rego (Carvalho) Miranda. Delia was the loving wife of the late Jorge Pereira.

Delia is survived by her daughter Miranda Hannah and son-in-law Freddie. She was the sister of Rosa Miranda and Tony Miranda. She was predeceased by her sister Maria Rodrigues.

A quiet and private person, Delia did not seek the spotlight, but instead cherished life’s simple pleasures like dinner dates with beloved family members or the occasional beach day. She enjoyed watching her soaps, true crime dramas and wrestling, and she loved spending time with her favorite four-legged friends. She was a devoted parishioner at St. Teresa’s and when she was feeling well, would not miss a Saturday mass.

Though small in stature, Delia’s love and dedication to her family knew no bounds. She had a fierce will, a big heart and strength like no other. She and her fighting spirit will truly be missed.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to a Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday, July 9th, at 11:00 AM in St. Teresa of the Child Jesus, 358 Newport Avenue, Pawtucket, RI. Burial to immediately follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 550 Wampanoag Trail, Riverside, RI.

Visiting hours will be from 10:00 - 10:30 AM, prior to the Mass on Wednesday, July 9th, in the Manning-Heffern-O’Neill Funeral Home, 220 Cottage Street, Pawtucket.
