Dennis Baas Obituary

Dennis J. Baas, age 71, of Sunman, was born on December 6, 1953, in Batesville, Indiana,a son to Herbert and Helen Myatt Baas.  He worked at Romweber and later at Kroger.  Dennis enjoyed antiquing, collecting odds and ends and loved to read.  He also liked watching baseball and rooting for the Cleveland Indians (Guardians).  On Friday, April 25, 2025, he passed away at the Waters of Batesville.


Surviving to cherish and remember Dennis are his sisters and brothers-in-law, Judy and Gerald Bruns of Milan and Michele and Stephen Guenther of Sunman; one sister-in-law, Donna Baas, and many nieces, nephews, and other family members.  Also surviving is his special nurse friend, Rosie.  Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Ronald, Donald, Darrel, and infant David.


In keeping with Dennis’ wishes cremation was chosen with no services.  He will be laid to rest with his parents at St. John’s Cemetery, Penntown.

Dennis was a student of mine in the third or fourth grade in the Sunman Grade School in the 1960's. The lives of all my students over the years have given me wonderful lasting memories during my retiring years.
