Dennis Henrich, 75 of Le Mars, Iowa, passed away on Saturday, July 26, 2025 at his home.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m., Saturday, August 2, 2025 at St. Catherine’s Catholic Church in Oyens, Iowa. Burial will follow at St. Catherine Catholic Cemetery. Visitation with the family present will begin at 5:00 p.m., with a Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m., all on Friday, August 1, 2025 at Rexwinkel Funeral Home in Le Mars. Expressions of sympathy may be expressed to the family through www.rexwinkelfh.com.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred in Dennis’ name to St. Catherine Catholic Cemetery in Oyens.
Dennis M. Henrich was born on February 10, 1950 in Le Mars, Iowa to Edwin and Arlyne (Binneboese) Henrich. He was raised on the family farm and graduated from Gehlen Catholic High School in 1968. He then went on to receive his bachelor’s degree in economics from Westmar College in Le Mars. Dennis was a lifelong farmer, working alongside his father on their farm northwest of Le Mars. He grew corn and beans while also raising cattle and hogs.
Dennis was an avid outdoorsman; he enjoyed going coyote hunting and fishing. He was a member of the Le Mars Sportsman Club and loved to go trap shooting. He was a long-time member of St. Catherine Catholic Church in Oyens. Dennis was an honest and forgiving man who saw the good in everyone.
Dennis is survived by his three children: a daughter, Kelly (Spencer) Reitzler of Williamsburg, IA and their children: Levi (Avery) (and their children, Gracelyn and Gideon) and Brayden; a son, Tod (Stephanie) Henrich of Le Mars and their children: Amanda (and her children, Harper & Bodhi) and Breanna (and her daughter, Millie); a daughter, Sarah (Christian) Bray of Dacula, GA and their children: Ava and Evelyn; four siblings, nieces, nephews, and other extended relatives.
Dennis is preceded in death by his parents; parents in law, Harold and Marian (Steichen) Utesch; and wife, Barb Henrich (June 26, 2015).

I have had such Fond memories of Denny and Barb and family. Kelly, Todd, and Sara your dad will certainly be missed. He was a good friend and a good neighbor to our family. May he rest in peace with Barb.

Dennis was one of my few friends at Gehlen. He was friendly and welcoming when I first came to Gehlen at the start of our Sophomore year. There were three of us that has 1955 Chevrolet Belair’s. Mine was Blue and White and as I recall his was Green and White. Rest in Peace Dennis.
