Margaret Squires Obituary

Margaret Martha Sallah Squires, 89, passed away on Wednesday, September 10, 2025, at Courville at Manchester in Manchester, NH.

Born on November 7, 1935, in Barre, VT, she was the daughter of Abraham and Rida Sallah.

She was the wife of the late Donald N. Squires. The two married on May 31, 1958, in New Haven, CT.

Margaret was most proud of the fact that she owned and operated a successful business, Squires Staffing Services, from 1987-2014.

She and Donald were avid and adventurous travelers throughout their lives, both as a couple, and with an extensive group of friends.One of their favorite destinations to visit was Aruba. They loved it so much that they went there every February for three weeks out of the year.

After Donald's passing, Margaret continued to travel into her late 80's.

She enjoyed cooking, gambling, and hosting gatherings for friends and family.

Margaret is predeceased by her loving husband, Donald Squires, as well as her parents, Abraham and Rida, and her sister Marion Bartlett.

She is survived by her three children: David Squires of Ashford, CT, Craig Squires of Bedford, NH, and Kristin Halverson and husband Trygve Halverson of Bedford, NH; her five grandchildren, Cailtlin Squires and fiance P. Gilbert Schmitt, Dan Squires, Brett Squires and fiance Bella Mutch, Jake Halverson and partner Emily DeSimone, and Jesse Halverson; her brother Fred Sallah and wife Jan; and her companion, Warren Hayes.

Per her request, there will be no formal services and a private family gathering will take place.
