I only met Frances a few times, but she left a lasting impression on me.
The first time was over 15 years ago at Big Chief Coney in Pontiac. I heard her voice and immediately recognized her Maltese accent. I'd lived in Malta for three years and couldn’t resist starting a conversation. She was kind, open, and warm.

Later, through a school carpool, I discovered she was the neighbor who crocheted beautiful sweaters for one of the children. It was such a joy to reconnect. She welcomed us into her home with genuine hospitality and a little glass of liqueur. I never forgot her warmth.

Seeing her obituary and learning she lived to be 100 brought tears to my eyes. What a beautiful life she must have lived. I’m grateful our paths crossed, even briefly.

My heartfelt condolences to her family.

xx Antonie
