Heath Chandler Aldrich of Wichita Falls, Texas was welcomed into heaven on December 26, 2024.
Heath was born September 1, 1984 in Wichita Falls to Keith Alan Aldrich and Gayla Renee Chandler Aldrich.
In 2003, Heath graduated from City View High School and continued his education earning a Bachelor's Degree from Midwestern State University. His passion for football led him to pursue a career growing young athletes into young men of great character and talent. His coaching career consisted of nine years in Petrolia, two years in Wichita Falls, and lastly returning to his Alma Mater City View High School where he was the offensive coordinator and girl’s coordinator. Heath’s hard work and dedication paid off and he quickly transitioned into head coach and then his dream role of Athletic Director of City View ISD. During his first year as Athletic Director, he led his team to victory as Bi-district Champions of the 2024 football season. Heath’s impact reached far beyond the field, establishing themes to improve motivation and inspire his team. This year’s theme was “Fishers of Men” inspired by the verse, (Mathew 4:19)”Come follow me and I will make you fishers of men. Heath’s dedication to his team, and his great battle against cancer inspired all that knew him and loved him.
Heath married the love of his life, Mikel Moore on June 19, 2010. They share two beautiful children, Blayke Lorae and Harlyn Heath. Heath loved his wife and children with all his heart and greatly appreciated the support his “bleacher babes” displayed by coming to nearly every game. Mikel was his rock and by his side every moment as they fought as a team against cancer. Heath was best known for his amazing Christmas cookies and his love of caring for animals; specifically his goats.
Heath was a very active member of his church, First Methodist Church of Holliday, where he only missed a couple Sunday’s during his fight. Heath and Mikel shared their unwavering faith in the many opportunities God laid before them in the hospital and during this journey. They believe this struggle was the path that would lead others to grow their faith and knowledge in the Lord. In Heath's words to Mikel..."It hasn't been that bad, and could have definitely been worse. God has been with me the whole way and it's brought me, my family and a whole community closer to Him. In the end, the scoreboard says "We Win" I Love You!
Survivors include his wife, Mikel; daughter, Blayke Aldrich; son, Harlyn Aldrich; his mother Gayla Aldrich, his father Keith Aldrich and wife Shannon; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Rodney and Patti Moore; grandmother, Loretta Chandler; sisters, Hailey Aldrich, Heather Johnson and husband, Drew and children, Jocelyn and Liam; sister-in-law, Rachel Clayton and husband, Rowdy and daughter, Piper; brother-in-law, Mason Moore, his wife, Maryum and daughter, Aaliyah; uncles, Lindy Chandler and wife, Darla and James Michael Hewitt; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

I will always remember your tires and wheels being removed from your car, and Joey, Aaron, and you scaring the boys off. Growing up across the street with Hailey, you were always a kind, smart, impressive young man. Your family will always keep you alive in your children's hearts. You will be so missed.
