Jacob Landon Farrell, lovingly known as Jake, passed away at the age of 25, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, laughter, and unwavering love. Jake graduated from Bartlett High School in 2019, where he shone both as a student and a talented athlete. From a young age, he found joy on the baseball field—playing competitively throughout middle and high school, where his dedication and team spirit made him a favorite among teammates and coaches alike. After school, Jake’s adventurous heart took him to Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, where he lived for three years. Jake cherished his time in Florida, forming lasting friendships and meaningful connections with those he met along the way. His customers and coworkers alike remembered him not just for his hard work, but for the warmth he brought into every room. Those who knew Jake will never forget his radiant smile and quick wit. He had a great sense of humor, a deep compassion for animals, and a steadfast devotion to his loved ones. He worked hard and provided tirelessly for his family, embodying the true spirit of love and responsibility. Jake found peace and happiness in nature—especially at the Tennessee River, where he spent countless days water skiing, boating, playing volleyball, or simply relaxing with friends and family. Whether tossing a frisbee, playing corn hole, or cooking out, Jake embraced every moment surrounded by the people he loved most. He was a proud and dedicated Pump Operator for Richardson Oilseed, where he saw not just a job, but a long and fulfilling future. His work ethic, dependability, and optimism left a lasting impression on all who worked beside him. Above all else, Jake was a family man. His heart belonged to his parents, sister, fiancée, and most deeply to his beautiful daughter—the light of his life. He also held a special place in his heart for his Papa, whom he adored and admired greatly. Jake was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, William and Gail Fancher, paternal grandmother, Ann Farrell; and his paternal great grandmother, Fannie Faye Farrell. He leaves behind his loving mother, Rene’, father, Jeff, sister, Lindsey, beloved fiancée, Zoe Johnson, his cherished daughter, Aubrie, and countless friends and relatives who will forever hold his memory close.
“Father, if you are willing, remove this cup from me; nevertheless, not my will, but yours, be done.”
— Luke 22:42
In honor of Jake’s compassionate spirit, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
