James "Mickey" Trivette Obituary
Hamptonville
Mr. James “Mickey” Trivette, 68, passed away Saturday, June 25, 2022 at Forsyth Medical Center. Mickey was born March 1, 1954 in Yadkin County to Charlie Preston and Ruth Royal Trivette. He enjoyed Duke Basketball and loved socializing with people especially at Debbie’s Snackbar. Mickey retired from RJ Reynolds.
In addition to his parents, Mickey was preceded in death by four brothers, Robbie, Roger, Tommy and Joe Trivette; and a brother-in-law, Earl Campbell. He is survived by two sons, Jamie (Kimberly) Trivette and Kevin Trivette; two grandchildren, Jayden & Zachary Trivette; a sister, Sylvia Campbell; a brother, Ike (Linda) Trivette; the mother of his children, Lisa Trivette; and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be conducted at 3:00PM, Thursday, June 30, 2022 at Gentry Family Chapel in Yadkinville with Rev. Kenny Pardue officiating. Burial will follow at Shiloh Baptist Church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 3:00PM prior to the service at the funeral home.

I well remember Mickey and Nicky when they were in my homeroom at Starmount quite a few years ago. Mickey was friendly and outgoing and always had a smile and a funny comment. My condolences to all his family and friends. Keep him in your hearts as you share memories.

So saddened to hear of Mickey's death. Just talked he and Nicky at our 50th high school class reunion about 4 weeks ago. The 3 of us went to school together for 12 years, he was a great guy and will certainly be missed by many. May God comfort each of you.

Words can’t describe how much you will be missed. Mickey was one of the most caring and kind hearted person. He was always smiling and wearing his duke shirt, hat or beanie’s. You will forever be missed at the snack bar!!!

I am sorry to hear about Mickey. He and went to school together, along with Nicky (Ike). As years passed, his humble demeanor remained the same. Mickey was the same friendly person each time I saw him, always joyful and never a harsh word.
