My children and I were patient's of Dr. Farmer's for years. We decided to switch 2 years ago. I am just now hearing of his passing, and my heart hurts. Especially for his wife, children and grandchildren. Oh how he spoke so incredibly high of you all. He was one of the most kindest people I have ever meant and focused. He will be greatly missed and I am continuing to keep his family in my thoughts and prayers especially nearing the anniversary of his passing. I am certain our lord and savior welcomed him. May God continue to strengthen you all.

To the family, I am sorry to hear of your loss. We were grade school and high school friends. My older sister was their sitter several times and there was always a funny story from those events. A great contributor to the local community and I know he will be greatly missed.

Jeff was a solid guy and my friend at Central High. I believe Jeff played for the legendary coach Lee Pate on the M’boro Central basketball teams. That is no small feat. Condolences to the family.

From years ago when Jeff was our Sunday school teacher before becoming our dentist we liked and respected him so much. His wife Linda and family were always so very sweet, kind and genuine. We are out of state and just found out this afternoon that Jeff is now with the Lord. We are confident that Jeff has already heard,”Well done good and faithful servant.” He will be greatly missed by friends, family and the community. Mike and Sherry Holsted

Jeff Farmer was a great guy. He was a great dentist but a much better man. He was someone to be in awe of his life. His sense of humor and his personality will be in my mind forever. I am sad but I know he is in heaven and will be with Jesus for eternity. I want the family to be most secure in this fact.

I was in high school with Jeff; he sat in front of me in our junior year for honors English with Miss Chrisman. He was intelligent & a sweet guy. He became my son's dentist when we returned to Murfreesboro after living in Florida for 21 years. It is very sad that he is gone.

Jeff was a fine man. This is very, very sad. He was one of the very best fellow students at Central High, a person of good character. May he rest in peace.

So sorry to hear about this. We lived across Eventide from Jeff and the Farmers. I am the middle of three boys. Philip and Lester are my brothers. My mother, Louise, sends her condolences, too.

I met Jeff in college, and we were friends for almost 50 years. I found him a very focused and serious person with high standards and ideals that were very important to him. As my long-time dentist, he took exceptionally good care of my family and me for decades. We all loved and trusted him and his wonderful staff completely. A firm handshake, a warm smile, a clear look in your eye, and a caring "Barry, how are you." That was Jeff. He knew and marveled that I used to make my own front teeth. Half-jokingly I once proposed to Jeff using my techniques for a tooth manufacturing business we could set up in his office. He chuckled and cocked his head a little, and said, "Barry, we have what we call A STANDARD OF PRACTICE." That was all he said. That was Jeff. Beneath that focused exterior, he was exceptionally friendly, loyal, and fun. Above all else..., Jeff was consistent. He was a consistently obedient follower of Jesus Christ for the entire time I knew him. He fought the good fight, he finished his course well, and he kept The Faith. I know he was happily welcomed into heaven and will be greatly missed by those of us he leaves behind.
