We must take this opportunity to convey our deepest sympathies to the family of the late Jennie Byest. Jennie, 59, formerly of Belzoni, MS, transitioned from labor to reward, June 28, 2025 at Sanctuary Hospice in Tupelo, MS. 

The visitation will be Friday, July 11, 2025 from 1:00 p.m.-5:00 a.m. at Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Belzoni, MS.

The Celebration of Life Service will be Saturday, July 12, 2025 at 1:00 p.m., at Zion Travelers M. B. Church, Belzoni, MS.  

The burial will be at Zion Travelers Cemetery Belzoni, MS.

Jennie’s memories will live on in the hearts of her 3 children, Paula Jefferson, Jennie Hooker & Brittany Pitcher, 3 brothers, Johnny Baymon, Freddie Baymon & Freeman Baymon, 2 sisters, Minnie Wright & Mary Golden, grandchildren, nephews, nieces, other relatives and close friends.
